#28. CIVILITY

civil - adhering to the norms of polite social intercourse;
............not deficient in common courtesy
beast - any animal except man
beastly - of or like a beast; hence the animal nature in man;
...................a human being under the influence of animal
...................propensities; a brutal man; a coarse nature or
...................condition of a beast.
brute - not possessing reason or understanding; pertaining to,
................or characteristic of animals as distinguished from man;
................lacking sensibility or refined feeling; rough or rude;
................savage or cruel; not endowed or associated with sense
................or sensation; lack of conscious; merely material.
brutal - of, pertaining to , characteristic of, or resembling brutes.
ACTION/ REACTION, is not only just a law of physics; it also becomes the
rule of thumb pertaining to some psychological responses in us humans, ie;
ACTION - you stuck your nose where it didn't belong; (UMA; slang)
(and now politically correct) into my life and business, thereby irritating me.
REACTION - I pulled out the object that was causing my irritation!
Although it may appear to be tit for tat, it is not; one of these two
perpetrated the initial act and caused the REACTIVE RESPONSE
which was: to remove that which did not belong
This scenario is exactly the foundation Osama Bin Laden applies his logic
and his devastating hand to; as he fights what "HE" believes is a
"Holy" and "Just" war. A war against a "bully" that "HE" (Bin Laden)
believes is intent on "undoing"a society of people thousands of years old;
a society of people, "the bully" believes needs to be changed to:
the image of "the bully".
Osama Bin Laden believes "in his heart" that "the bully" is enemy to his
sacred society, with sacred being the key word.
Is Osama Bin Laden correct in his assumption that "the bully" desires to
subvert the way which is, to the way that is "the bullies"?
Perhaps Osama Bin Laden is a history buff and intently examined the
unjust acts of murder, rape, pillage and theft perpetrated against the
many natives who inhabited the continent known as North America.
In essence these unjust acts were the birthing pangs of the nation called
America!
That "beastly bully" that devoured the "North American" natives, is
the very same "bully" that Osama Bin Laden calls his enemy,
Maybe Osama Bin Laden sees the end result of destruction which was
wrought against these native peoples.
Perhaps "HE" feels the pain of a once proud and ancient people who were
decimated by the seemingly cold, heartless, self centered and insensitive
acts of a "beastly bully" and says; this shall not be for my people.
Even if Osama bin Laden has no knowledge of the above mentioned facts,
I am sure "HE" has a great understanding of his ancestors and their fight
and plight against a "bully", that once came and not only destroyed and
conquered, but also split up and divided their heritage.
If so, does this justify "HIS" (Bin Laden) actions or make right what
"HE" does.
No; Absolutely not.
Osama Bin Laden as all of us do, has the obligation to act human, not beastly.
Humpty Dumpty wasn't put back together properly and since, there has
been much strife and turmoil throughout the region of the "Middle East"!
There is that ACTION/ REACTION thing again.
Are "WE", The United States Of America a "beastly, bully" nation?
Do we practice what we preach and are we civil?
Does the bottom line of a corporation dictate or justify the casting off of
a long time employee as if they were dead skin cells of a body?
It would seem if a business was in dire straits and it's life was at stake and
the need to let someone or some body's go; then it would seem appropriate
to let the newest employees go first, not the employees that have been with
the company for a long time and have been mainly responsible for it's
health and growth.
But no, we can save "more money" buy axing the old guy cause we will be
due to pay him a hefty sum for his retirement!
Is this action; lacking in sensibility or refined feeling; rough or rude;
savage or cruel; unconscionable or merely material,
in essence beastly or brutal?
If the answer is yes, then I would ask "why" would any group of humans
seeking a "civil" way of life wish to be a partaker of this
"non civil" attitude?
Also, take the stripping away the authority of a Court Judge to appoint or
affix "their" judgement in the matters of assessment and appointment of
sentences; instead of applying the "systems" cold fixed sentencing mandates.
Could this activity also be considered to be brutal, by being a limiting factor
to the application of sound reasoning, based upon a complete understanding
of need concerning any given situation?
Could a Police type State in which the Civil rights of people are daily trodden
upon be considered beastly?
Could treating humans as just a number or a mark, or a market target also
be considered beastly?
Is it possible,"the rules of law(s)" or "the divine commandments"
actually define and differentiate the beast from the human?
Is the expression of:
bringing the mouth to the food or water
verses
bringing the food or water to the mouth;
a possible "tell" on beastly verses human.
When the beasts are at war, civility is no more.

#26. ACCOUNTABILITY/DOUBLE DOWN

There is a "double jeopardy factor" applied to
those citizens who are cited for traffic violations
in construction zones and in school zones; thus
putting a new spin on the old adage
"you should have known better"!
It appears the states, counties and cities believe
a driver should have more respect for construction
workers and students and they may have it right!
I am in "no" contention with this policy, as
I believe that by doubling the fines; lives may be and
most probably have already been saved.
If this practice is constitutional, I believe this same type
of punishment or "corrective measure" should also be
applied to another important issue; this being,
governmental agencies and law enforcement agencies,
specifically including any and all who swear on oath:
to protect and serve and uphold the U.S. Constitution.
Corrupt government corrupts the society it serves;
though the society wishes not to be corrupted or used,
abused and preyed upon, it will be and has been the
fodder for many; especially by law enforcement agencies
and their perspective authorities, these being:
the municipalities, cities, counties, states and
federal agencies.
Currently there is a disgusting, over bearing stench
of arrogance emitting from
the law enforcement communities of this country.
The main odor offending the olfactory nerves of
the public in general is;
"they" the law enforcement communities feel "they" are
"above the law";
the very same law they have sworn an oath to uphold!
At one time in this country, the general public had a
much higher level of respect for their police;
those who swore to protect and serve them, "the people".
Presently there is a high level of disrespect!
Cause and effect.
Before law enforcement can enforce the law, "THEY"
should have a complete knowledge and understanding
of the law; especially law pertaining to CIVIL RIGHTS!
This knowledge of the law is part of the basic training
and requirements of a police academy graduation;
or so it should be.
For an officer of the law to claim ignorance of the law
would be ridiculous,
but yet this happens every single day.
It is not ignorance of the law by which those who
swore an oath to uphold the law, break the law;
it is by arrogant hypocrisy the dirty deed is done!
If those of the general public lose confidence in those
who swore an oath to protect them;
a "lack of trust attitude" could in essence be reflected
from the people.
I believe trust in law enforcement agencies and
their personnel is essential to the well being and
security of a community and or a nation.
If this statement holds true, the importance of;
"perfect conduct" in upholding the law becomes
paramount.
Therefore.....
"YOU DO NOT BREAK THE LAW...
TO UPHOLD THE LAW"!
I also sincerely believe this arrogance I speak of,
stems from a prejudice of law enforcement personnel
in general, this being; that "they" believe,
"they" are better than those they serve,
with serve being the key word.
Any and every one who is a government employee
is exactly this; "a servant to the people"...period!
Most certainly "they" are not above the law.
Being given a badge of authority over your fellow
citizens, implies faith and trust in your ability to:
protect and serve their righteous needs;
it absolutely does not give warrant to separatism.
The violating of a law by an "ordinary citizen" ;
(I say ordinary in comparison to a
"government employee citizen"), prompts the society
through the judicial system to push, prod, demand
and coheres the offender to comply and conform to
the law our society has deemed to be the better way.
The degree of force applied by society on the
convicted offender, is intended to be the tool or
mechanism by which the the breach of law is repaired;
hopefully equitably.
I say equitably, for in some instances there is an
unfair burden applied against the offender and yes,
sometimes not a heavy enough burden is issued.
In the cases of convicted law enforcement and
government personnel offenders, "their" sentencing
burdens are usually lessor in weight than
that of the "ordinary citizens", or so it appears!
Why is this?
These law enforcement and government personnel
are supposed to know the law, especially those in
law enforcement.
Why should "these" get lessor penalties?
Should "these" not have to pay a greater fee for the
breaching of the laws "they" have sworn to uphold?
I say yes!

A man is dead, the reason why;
was he a victim or deserve to die?
The questions stands, the answer is:
it's up to us to reason why!
Was he guilty and did he sin;
enough to send him to his end?
Tell me; what was the reason why?
Was he a victim or deserve to die?
Did he threaten and or did he try,
to steal the sunlight from your sky?
I'm asking you the reason why;
was he a victim or deserve to die?
Did he hurt you and or make you cry,
so much for him to need to die?

I wait for the right time...and I realize every time
Police brutality is wrought...this is the right time and
yet I do nothing.
Surely I shall do something; but when?
Am I guilty of complacency every time if I do nothing?
Yes I think so.
Am I a coward by not crying "foul"?
Yes I think so.
Would it be better if I did something about the problem?
Absolutely yes!
So when is the right time?

When it comes time to appoint a derogatory comment to something or
anything that may be inappropriate, out of line or just plain wrong;
nothing does a better job or compares to the short version which is:
"THAT SUCKS"!
Since "THAT SUCKS" seems to be the national choice of words to show
apparent disdain, I figured the term "SUCKS" or "SUCS" deserved a more
in depth definition especially when applied to certain situations or
circumstances such as; the above RPD "SUCS" statement I personally
appointed to what I believed to "have been" ( now ?) a foul agency.
I believed the foulness practiced by this agency may have actually
subverted the law and consequently does UNDO the society it has
sworn an oath to "Protect and Serve!
SOCIETY UNDONE BY A CORRUPT SYSTEM: is this a truth?
Can the core security of a society be UNDONE by corruption?
Why yes of course!
To what degree?
One one thousand of one percent (1/1000 of 00.1%) of corruption is
too much; fifty percent (50%) is so much more and
one hundred percent (100%) well that's through and through right.
So if you happen to live in a community that lets say is only
10% corrupted, especially in this century; Lucky you!
But if you happen to live in lets say LA, Detroit, New York, New Orleans,
Chicago, or any other city where corruption is not scarce but the norm;
and you might be a person of color or economically challenged,
my heart goes out to you, cause you no damn well of just what
UNDONE actually means.
It doesn't really have to be a Police Dept. that one can attach a label to,
although the police departments are pretty fair indicators of the cities or
municipalities they represent.
If the Police agencies in your communities practice what is commonly
referred to as "PRO-ACTIVE POLICING", odds are, though you live in
a democratic community where you have elected officials; you are more
than likely being treated like you live in some Third World Fascist country
rather than the USA, cause when it comes to PRO-ACTIVE POLICING,
this usually means your civil rights are being trodden upon,
or "UNDONE"!
Generally PRO-ACTIVE POLICING POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
are very obtrusive and intrusive and if you don't believe me just ask
Rodney King (LA) or Malice Green (Detroit) or Mikey Hill (also Detroit)
or how about Amadu Diallo (New York City) or any other of the many,
many citizens who have had their civil rights "stolen" from them.
That's right, I said stolen!
Though Rodney King was able to speak about "his" ordeal of the

Again, I must also apologise for using Amadu Diallo's name as his life also
was taken from him by the New York City Police for trying to remove his
wallet from his front pant pocket as four armed NYC under cover plain
clothes officers were pointing their weapons at him from a darkened street.
Amadu, who was a legal immigrant; may have thought he was doing the
right thing by "maybe" thinking he was being robbed and the four wanted
his money; or "maybe" Amadu thought the four men "were" the Police and
he was going to identify himself by showing them his papers.
We really don't know why Amadu was reaching for his wallet; cause the
four cops on the street "probably" well placed behind some cover,
collectively fired from near point blank range at Amadu 41 times,
hitting Amadu with 19 bullets almost instantly killing him and silencing
this innocent human being forever.
The cops said they didn't no Amadu was reaching for his wallet!
They "the cops" thought he was reaching for a weapon!
Was it a fear induced hallucination that caused one
of the officers to yell "GUN"?
No one knows why "this unfortunate incident" took place!
Well I know why!
It's plain and outrageously simple.
WHY?
The answer is: COWARDICE - times FOUR!

I wait for the right time...and I realize every time
Police brutality is wrought...this is the right time and
yet I do nothing.
Surely I shall do something; but when?
Am I guilty of complacency every time if I do nothing?
Yes I think so.
Am I a coward by not crying "foul"?
Yes I think so.
Would it be better if I did something about the problem?
Absolutely yes!
So when is the right time?

When it comes time to appoint a derogatory comment to something or
anything that may be inappropriate, out of line or just plain wrong;
nothing does a better job or compares to the short version which is:
"THAT SUCKS"!
Since "THAT SUCKS" seems to be the national choice of words to show
apparent disdain, I figured the term "SUCKS" or "SUCS" deserved a more
in depth definition especially when applied to certain situations or
circumstances such as; the above RPD "SUCS" statement I personally
appointed to what I believed to "have been" ( now ?) a foul agency.
I believed the foulness practiced by this agency may have actually
subverted the law and consequently does UNDO the society it has
sworn an oath to "Protect and Serve!
SOCIETY UNDONE BY A CORRUPT SYSTEM: is this a truth?
Can the core security of a society be UNDONE by corruption?
Why yes of course!
To what degree?
One one thousand of one percent (1/1000 of 00.1%) of corruption is
too much; fifty percent (50%) is so much more and
one hundred percent (100%) well that's through and through right.
So if you happen to live in a community that lets say is only
10% corrupted, especially in this century; Lucky you!
But if you happen to live in lets say LA, Detroit, New York, New Orleans,
Chicago, or any other city where corruption is not scarce but the norm;
and you might be a person of color or economically challenged,
my heart goes out to you, cause you no damn well of just what
UNDONE actually means.
It doesn't really have to be a Police Dept. that one can attach a label to,
although the police departments are pretty fair indicators of the cities or
municipalities they represent.
If the Police agencies in your communities practice what is commonly
referred to as "PRO-ACTIVE POLICING", odds are, though you live in
a democratic community where you have elected officials; you are more
than likely being treated like you live in some Third World Fascist country
rather than the USA, cause when it comes to PRO-ACTIVE POLICING,
this usually means your civil rights are being trodden upon,
or "UNDONE"!
Generally PRO-ACTIVE POLICING POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
are very obtrusive and intrusive and if you don't believe me just ask
Rodney King (LA) or Malice Green (Detroit) or Mikey Hill (also Detroit)
or how about Amadu Diallo (New York City) or any other of the many,
many citizens who have had their civil rights "stolen" from them.
