THE ITCH

SOME who are rich,
thieves they be;
plagued with the itch,
to steal from you and me.

THEY line their deep pockets
with much silver and gold;
ever steadily pilfering,
from the young and the old!

WHILE performing this duty
so greedily bold;
they are still quite unhappy,
so I've been told.

WITH gusto they plunder
and take, take, take;
putting all asunder,
for their own sake.


CONSPIRATORS works without blunder,
no matter the stake;
leaving all to wonder,
from whom they take:
